High Strung Picture Wrap!

Hello Friends!

While everyone awaits election returns tonight, we’ve got thrilling news of our own: because of you and the 250+ backers who helped us raise over $23,500, we wrapped principal photography on High Strung last night!

In three whirlwind days, our 20-person cast and crew shot 25 scenes across 7 locations here in New York City—transforming words on a page into life on camera.

Your belief in us—and your generous support & contributions—made this Herculean effort possible. Whether you shared our project on social media, or gave a monetary contribution, you didn’t just help fund a film; you enabled us, as artists, to engage in our craft in ways that simply would not have been possible without you.

Before I go, I want to share a note that our Writer/Director Jonathan Green sent me:

“Somehow it feels poetic that we filmed the day after Halloween and exactly one year from the end of our crowdfunding campaign. It’s been quite a journey — writing and rewriting the script, building this team, and watching the project slowly take on a life of its own.

In many ways, this film feels like a living being we’ve all helped to bring into the world — a collective creation that’s now ready to take its first breath. I’m feeling a mix of excitement, gratitude, exhaustion, and awe. As anyone who’s given birth (literally or metaphorically) can attest, bringing something meaningful into being takes everything you’ve got — and that’s what makes it so rewarding.”
